The Indy Fall Prep Golf Tour is a great competitive playing opportunity for boys (grades 8th – 12th) during the fall season. The 2011 IFPGT is offering 2 Fall Tune-Up Events (18 holes) and 4 Fall Championships (36 holes each) - all for a fraction of the cost when compared to other tours…all 4 Fall Championships will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard. We are committed to providing a high quality competitive golf experience at a cost that makes it a great value. Here is a short list of some of the accomplishments of former IFPGT members:
· 120+ former IPFGT members have played or are currently playing college golf.
· IFPGT Points Champion from 2005 and 2006 seasons set IHSAA Boys Golf Finals Record (63).
· Winner of 2008 Touchstone Energy Open, NGA/Hooters Tour
· Winner of 2009 Indiana Open, IGA Public Links, IGA Match Play, and INDPLS Amateur
· Winner of the 2010 Indiana Amateur [4 of top 5 were former IFPGT Members]
· Winner of the 2011 INDPLS Open, Southern Open, and Indiana Amateur
2011 marks our ninth season with a strong tournament schedule. The Indy Fall Prep Golf Tour is professionally run at excellent championship facilities. We will be using USGA Rules, including the one-ball rule, pin location sheets, and a slow play policy. Golf course set-ups will range from 6600 yards to 6800 yards. A USGA Handicap Index of 10 or less or a verified tournament scoring average of 85 or less is required by all members.
Field size for the Fall Championships is limited to the first 100 players. Alternates may fill each field for all events, based on the date of registration and then on a first come - first served basis.
As in the previous eight seasons, we expect the Indy Fall Prep Golf Tour to be extremely competitive and provide additional opportunities for college coaches to see future prospects competing locally during the fall 2011 season.
